Phase 3: First Realization — What did I need to equip myself?
Around this time, I was building my career as an Ashtanga yoga teacher. Years of dedicated practice helped regulate my cycle somewhat… but there were still times my period disappeared for nearly three months. That was the peak of my PCOS.
Eventually, I realized—this world I was immersed in? It wasn’t built for women.
Women were practicing just like men—6AM practice clubs, caffeine-fueled sessions, obsession with weight, body image, and pushing harder, faster, more.
Luckily, my teacher Nea’s approach was different—cycle-centered, thoughtful, and intuitive. Through her, I found an ex-Ashtanga teacher who had become a women’s health coach—and suddenly, a whole new world opened up.
